Tribit StormBox Flow: sturdy long-player

Tribit has released the StormBox Flow portable Bluetooth speaker. Features include a long playing time and water resistance.

The compact Tribit StormBox Flow Bluetooth speaker features a battery that when fully charged is good for at least 24 hours of playing time, according to the manufacturer. At least, because if you give the DSP (and especially the adjacent amplifier, of course) some rest and turn off the XBass option for more bass, thirty hours playtime is reached. Furthermore, the speaker is IP67 waterproof, which makes it ideally suited to take it out on trails and lanes.

30 meters

The built-in amplifier has a maximum output of 25 watts, with the aforementioned XBass option providing an extra 10 dB of low frequencies. The Bluetooth version is 5.3, which means, among other things, that the maximum bridgeable distance between source and Tribit StormBox Flow is a nice thirty meters. But the source must also support Bluetooth 5.3 to make that happen.

The Tribit StormBox Flow is only $80 USD (available September 18), so that’s nice. At the time of this writing, the Flow cannot yet be found on the manufacturer’s website, but you will find a series of other nicely priced portable speakers (and more) there.
