The Audiolab 9000N is the manufacturer’s new flagship, we’re talking about a streamer fitting into the 9000 series.
If you’re looking for a high-end streamer, take a look at the new Audiolab 9000N. Software-wise, it is entirely based on Linux and in terms of computer hardware on an ARM CPU. Naturally, music services such as Tidal, Qobuz and Spotify are available (provided you have a subscription to one or more of those…). But listening to worldwide radio stations can also be done via TuneIn. Through the comprehensive but user-friendly user interface, you can easily set up playlists, group albums and simply organize music. Furthermore, UPnP/DLNA are supported.
Roon Ready and AirPlay 2
Practically, the Audiolab 9000N is Roon Ready certified. Or get going wirelessly via Apple’s AirPlay 2. The streamer can handle a range of hires audio formats. Thereby, the maximum achievable PCM quality is 32 bit / 768 kHz plus native DSD up to and including DSD512. As a DAC chip, the ES9038PRO is used to achieve this. To lossless file formats, the streamer ‘eats’ FLAC, ALAC, WAV, AIFF, DSF and DIFF, among others. For the group of enthusiasts who still need it: MQA is included too. As for outputs, balanced XLR connectors are available.
