Measurements and conclusion
Contents
We are still full in our research into the measurability of speaker cables when we do this trio test. We dare not yet distill any conclusions from these measurements. Therefore, we are not going to do that.
What we can say is that it is striking that the impedance of the 12TC is lower than that of the Monocle XL. And what we do know is that impedance determines sound. The higher impedance is probably due to the higher inductance of the Monocle XL compared to the 12TC. The latter has the lowest inductance of this trio.
Capacitance of the 8PR is the lowest. This is odd, because capacity affects speed. And the 8PR did not feel the fastest of this trio. We found the Monocle XL to be the most nimble and display the best transients…. hmmm… makes you think!
