Set-up and installation

Make sure you have a sturdy piece of furniture to place this amplifier on. Our Bassocontinuo rack can support up to 100 kg per level, so that’s fine. We use the Sonnet Morpheus as a volume control and dac and set the rear switch to the Low-Bias position. High-Bias is just a little too laidback in our system and with most of our music (pop, dance, rock, singer-songwriter and folk). The – in our case – 2×200 watts in Class A/B are our preference but YMMV.
We can imagine that those who play a lot of jazz and classical might switch on the High-Bias and that is just the nice thing about this relatively affordable power amplifier. You can adjust the sound to suit your taste and your music by simply flipping a switch.
