The Elac Elegant BS 312.2 requires a slightly higher stand or a nice piece of furniture at the right height. You can of course, as we did, put a pair of IsoAcoustic Aperta underneath them to get the tweeter at ear height which also gives you excellent decoupling. But there are more elegant solutions.
We also placed the Elacs closer to the wall (50 cm) than usual to get some extra sub-bass and closer together (200 cm) to avoid gaps in the stereo image. The speakers get power from a pair of Sonnet Kratos monoblocks delivering a very stable 2×50 watts in Class A/B. This combination worked extremely well and so our Moon amplifier got some well-deserved rest.
