Set-up and installation

With the previously tested Harbeth Nelson stands, also with built-in subwoofers, we chose to put the dail at 11 o’ clock… i.e., just in front of the center. With the GoldenEar T66, we stick with the default setting of twelve o’clock.
We put the T66 where we normally put our monitors and that worked out fine. In our room we put the speakers 2.5m apart, with a slight toe-in and the listening chair at the same distance. An equilateral triangle in other words. We plug everything in and leave the dial as mentioned earlier on the default setting. We received a pair of AudioQuest Monsoon power cords from the manufacturer and used them for the duration of the review.
