The Kinki Studio Earth cables show that the focus is not on conductivity. Conduction is quite low if we are honest. Resistance is also relatively high as a result. This is not a problem with an interlink since the input resistance is high and the resistance of the cable is therefore eliminated. With a speaker cable it does play a role since the overall resistance is low.

Now it is all still within limits: the speaker cable has an impedance of 0.4 Ohms up to about 20 kHz, so no disaster. At 100 kHz it sits at 1.5 Ohms. The phase is around 40 degrees at 20 Khz with the speaker cable. At the mains cable around 25 degrees and the interlink around 35 degrees.

The capacitance of the interlink is quite high: towards 400 pF. Most of the cables are between 80pF and 100pF. Why the capacitance is so high, we dare not say. This may well give coloration.

Inductance is nicely within limits if we look at it this way. Most speaker cables are between 1.25 and 2.5 uH. So this Kinki is within that field.

Conclusion

Kinki Studio makes good electronics. And with this cable line they have a nice looking cable series with decent performance. The power cord we are slightly less enthusiastic about, but the interlink plays just fine within the price range without question.
