Measurements Naim CI 102
The measurements are definitely solid for a €1500 unit with all these things built into a small cabinet. (Streamer, controller board, amplifier, power supply…) We see a little bit of grass in the measurement where we want to measure the noise floor (-110dB). Over the network, the noise floor goes up slightly. Probably because an additional chipset is going to work.
Power is achieved nicely in both 8 and 4 Ohms, showing that everything works stably. Distortion also remains low for a product in this class.
Can Naim make products with better specs? Yes, of course. Look at the Nait-50 and 200 series. But considering the price of 1500 Euro for a complete device and the CI implementation, we see decent numbers!
