We connect the NuPrime Dac-9X balanced to our integrated amplifier via a pair of Ricable Magnus XLR cables. The dac enters our streamer via coaxial input via a Ricable Magnus COAX cable.
We tried the preamp on a set of Kratos monoblocks and it worked quite well. In a direct comparison, the soundstage reduces a bit and the dispersion is a bit less precise, but in this price range, this is a fine solution. We did not test the headphone amplifier.

Which streamer did u use for this test? I am not familiar with the listed gears unused.
I love that it has two i2S inputs. That I know of, only PS Audio has done that.
