We connect the Holo Audio Serene Level 1 balanced to our Benchmark Media Systems AHB2 via the XLR 2 output. Our Sonnet Digital Audio Morpheus goes balanced into the XLR 1 input of the Holo Audio Serene Level 1. We used a NAD M50 as a source. The M50 is connected to a Mutec MC3+ reclocker that feeds the Sonnet Morpheus. All cables are from Ricable’s Magnus series.
The Holo Audio Serene Level 1 replaces a Benchmark Media Systems HPA4 in the reference system below:

- Benchmark Media Systems AHB2
- Sonnet Digital Audio Morpheus
- Nad M50 (with Mutec Mc3+ clock)
- Hifiman Sundara
- Audioquest Powerquest 3
- IsoAcoustics Aperta
Cabling: Ricable Magnus and Benchmark Speakon Software: Roon for Qobuz and Tidal We stream, play CDs and use high-res files.
