We connected the Plixir Supreme cable to our Sourcetronic LCR to see what its properties are. You can see the results below.
Measurements Plixir Supreme kabel
We measured inductance, impedance and conductance through the entire cable: that is, “back and forth.” That means we are actually measuring 4 meters of cable, since our specimen is 2 meters. In capacitance measurement, we measured “open,” which means 2 meters.
With that in mind, 55 Siemens is certainly not bad. The conductance also stays reasonably good for a long time: up to about 3300 Hz, we see 30 Siemens.
The impedance is low. We measure a maximum of 0.85 Ohms approximately. That’s at 300 kHz, so no complaints here. This cable will not throttle. Phase is 72 degrees at 300 kHz.
Inductance is very low. That must be because of the huge shielding. We’re measuring around 630 nH. Right: nano-Henry. That’s really low. The bulk is around double we know from experience. So this is an excellent score.
