Conclusion
We haven't had a great deal of time with the Technics SU-R1000. And such a machine actually deserves that. But nevertheless we have a good impression of the amplifier. The focus is on precision and neutrality. The product page breathes that too. And that's perfect for those looking for that. It is a bit of a nerdy device (not that we mind; we are pretty nerdy ourselves). But the starter will be overwhelmed. And lose their way.Despite its focus on precision and detail, it's not a clinical machine. And that's an achievement. But it also doesn't put out the most involving playback we've experienced in this class. A Pass Labs INT25, for example, draws the user directly into the music. But then: 25 Watt, only analogue and no phonostage. In short: choices, choices... Without a doubt, a special approach that deserves respect!
