When the Open Buds are in the box and activated by taking them out, we immediately have a connection (after pairing them first, of course). The buds are also surprisingly easy to position properly; attach it behind the ears and twist the unit into the right position. Because of the good fit and light weight, we hardly feel anything “hanging against our ears.”

We have not been able to drain the battery while using the Open Buds sometimes for an entire day and the day after, outside in the cold and rain. With the X1 we had occasional issues making phone calls, the Open Buds were flawless. The open design of these buds helps to stay in touch with the outside world. The ‘buds’ are positioned against our ears, not pressed rigidly, and it just feels right.

Outside

Talking about outside; biking, walking, running to the train; it is all perfectly doable and (provided the music is not too loud) also safe because there is always contact with the environment. The Open Buds give us the feeling of hearing music without being too isolated from what is going on around us.
