Here lies the great strength of this product. You simply place your favorite LS3/5a monitor on the Nelson, in this case the beautiful Harbeth P3ESR XD mini-monitors, connect the wires and cables, and you’re done. Crawling around, subwoofer crawling is really a thing(!), to then hopefully find the right spot is not applicable here. You also don’t have to search endlessly for the right crossover or be caught up in phase. The amplifier used does not have to be a powerhouse or have a specific subwoofer output. And last but not least, there is no extra square box on the floor. Just some fine-tuning and play. Delicious.

We played a few days without the subwoofer, then with one and then with two. The first few days the knob was right in the middle, the default setting, but then we turned the knobs back slightly to five to twelve, which gave the best results in our space. We used a bit of toe-in, although toe-in is of course personal and dependent on the space.
