Measurements

Contents

We have measured the KEF CI4100QL THX and see good values. As with the DALI’s it is noticeable that the speaker is tuned for the listening position. That’s where everything falls into place. So don’t try to measure at a meter distance (except for distortion), because that won’t work. When we put the microphone on our listening position, we see a neat curve that runs according to specification. The roll-off in the high range is logical: high frequency has more damping and loses energy faster.

Distortion in the bass is clearly visible. The smaller units get a lot of choice during the measurement. We recommend using a subwoofer from 80 Hz for CI4100QL. Then you grab the KEF’s in the sweet spot, which improves the overall quality.
