Measurements WiiM Pro Plus
We also measured the WiiM Pro Plus, of course. We have to say: for a little 249 euro device, it’s just impressively good. Few harmonics, fairly low noise floor ánd a fine dynamic range: 113 dB / about 18.8 bits. That’s better than many streamers around 1000 Euro.
Jitter is not so good. We see a lot of grass and noise. Also the high-frequency noise in the noise / interference measurement could of course be better. But this is all due to the phone adapter that powers this streamer. With a decent power supply this goes down a lot, we estimate.

Meten is weten ?

I am really interested in knowing how far you can take this streamer/dac combo with a Dodo power supply, for example?
Is that power supply overkill or will this then become a killer streamer for £1000?
Maybe a test with an external DAC?
Modern chipset ESS 9039*, AKM 4499* and R2R.
“Frankly, the WiiM Pro plays well above expectations. The AKM 4493SEQ dac chip” and €249
