We hooked up our Sourcetronic LCR meter to the Yeti Standard Plus to get an idea of conductance, resistance, capacitance and inductance.

Measurements Yeti Standard Plus

We see neat values. The Plus is a lot higher in terms of conductance – 80 Siemens, so 10 Siemens above the ordinary – and thus also a bit lower in terms of impedance. Inductance is about the same, capacitance idem. That makes sense, since the construction and type of material is the same.

Conclusion

The Yeti Standard Plus delivers a readily audible improvement over the Yeti Standard. In particular, we hear a finer sound balance and much more scale in the imaging. This step is well worth the extra investment. In short: a well-deserved Alpha Approved for the Yeti Standard Plus!
